A Meeting Before Recruitment

At AGCG Genuine Consulting Group, recruiting a consultant is not just about assessing a background or expertise: it’s first and foremost about meeting a personality, potential, and a way of thinking and interacting.

We are looking for individuals who can excel in an environment where curiosity, structured intellect, reliability, and teamwork are essential. Our selection process is therefore designed as a progressive, transparent, and demanding journey — allowing both parties to check the alignment with the AGCG DNA.

Each step will allow you to showcase your reasoning, rigor, ability to structure, interpersonal skills, and your consulting posture. In return, you will discover our culture, expectations, projects, and how we support our consultants throughout their careers.

The 5-Step Recruitment Process

A demanding yet supportive journey designed to allow you to give the best of yourself.

1. Submit Your Application

The first step is simple: submit your CV and a short message explaining your motivation. We place great importance on clarity, sincerity, and the ability to summarize your journey in a few lines.

- Consistency of the career path
- Rigor and readability of the CV
- Experiences or signals showing curiosity, engagement, and teamwork

🟦 Tips: Highlight your achievements (not just your tasks), what you’ve learned, and your areas of preference: IT strategy, SecOps, governance, risk management…

2. In-Depth HR Interview

A 45-minute conversation to understand your career path, motivations, and fit with our culture. This interview also aims to better understand your expectations and your view of the consulting profession.

- Ability to express oneself clearly
- Humility, team spirit, and human values
- Projection in the AGCG consultant role

🟦 Tips: Illustrate your experiences with concrete examples: how you’ve learned, collaborated, solved a problem, or managed a complex situation.

3. Case Study (Cyber/IT/Strategy)

The central step of the process. You will be given a case inspired by our missions: a SOC diagnosis, synthetic risk analysis, indicator reading, prioritization roadmap, or a recommendation to a fictitious COMEX.

- Structuring of thought
- Ability to distinguish essentials from secondary
- Reasoning under time constraints
- Relevance and maturity of recommendations
- Clarity of oral communication

🟦 Tips:
1. Reformulate the problem
2. Build a simple plan (2–3 axes)
3. Always prioritize your recommendations
4. Give a business vision (not just technical)
5. Be clear, not exhaustive

4. Industry Interview with a Manager or Partner

This interview evaluates your consulting posture, impact, professional maturity, and ability to integrate into the AGCG ecosystem. It’s a stimulating conversation based on your experiences, your view of the profession, and the questions you ask.

- Relevance of analyses
- Ease of interpersonal communication and verbal impact
- Ability to listen, respond, and structure
- Alignment with the firm's culture

🟦 Tips: Be professional but natural, prepare 2–3 relevant questions showing your understanding of the sector and your intellectual curiosity.

5. Decision & Offer Proposal

After the interviews, your application will be evaluated collectively during an internal committee to ensure a fair and consistent decision.

If the committee is positive, we will send you an offer within 72 hours, along with a clear and personalized career path.

What We Really Evaluate

Every element matters, but certain criteria hold particular weight in our evaluation.

  • “Smart” Curiosity: quick understanding of contexts, genuine interest in complex subjects, ability to link business, IT, and cyber.
  • Structured Reasoning: logic, prioritization, scenario thinking, ability to summarize a problem in a few sentences.
  • Intellectual Rigor: quality of assumptions, fact-checking, methodological discipline.
  • Consulting Posture: clarity of speech, active listening, adaptability to the interlocutor’s level, absence of unnecessary jargon.
  • Team Spirit: humility, cooperation, willingness to uplift others, exemplary behavior.
  • Diffuse Leadership: ability to lead, reassure, and structure — even without a formal title.
  • Sense of Impact: ability to recommend concrete and realistic actions, result-oriented.

Preparing Your Application

A Clear, Readable, and Impact-Oriented CV

We primarily look for impact: what you’ve done, what you’ve learned, and what you’ve improved. Excessively technical or overly descriptive CVs are less readable.

👉 Tips: Numbers, results, achievements, exact role, deliverables, context.

Prepare the Consulting Methodology

The case doesn’t evaluate your cyber knowledge, but your reasoning skills. Always structure: context → diagnosis → options → recommendations → plan.

👉 Practice discussing “vision” without losing pragmatism.

Mastering Your Consulting Posture

Clarity, humility, and commitment. We value consultants who can adopt the right tone, simplify, and put themselves in the client’s shoes.

👉 Prepare 2–3 examples illustrating your ability to solve a problem or support a team.
